Trailblazing with mom: Our Annual Mother-Daughter Backpacking trip

Our two-night backpacking trip to Packer Lake was an adventure we won't soon forget! After a beautiful hike in, we quickly got a dramatic reminder of nature's power when a fierce lightning and rain storm rolled in. Huddling together as the thunder boomed was a little scary, but it was just a temporary setback.

True to form, the sun eventually burst back out, painting the lake in brilliant light and allowing us to fully soak up the rest of our time together. From the intensity of the storm to the calm of the clear skies, it was a perfect reminder that the best memories often come with a little wild weather.
